World War Is A Direct Result Of Today's Ideology
In the past few months a number of
debates erupted concerning the
teaching of violence to our children through television programs. It
seems that some Americans are now realizing that the vast increase in
domestic violence is a direct result of what our children have been
exposed to and taught . Since many are now realising this to be true. I
would like to point out that your Bible also says it is true. The
behavior that we and our children have been taught by society is
bringing about the hatred, fear and wars among the nations today.
The concept of war is taught to our
children from the time they enter
kindergarten through college. This teaching begins very subtly. Our
children learn to draw and color weapons, planes and missiles. These
subtle methods encourage and develop thoughts of war in our children.
In America, these children then desrie to play war games. They start by
playing cowboys and Indians. Then they move on to pretending they are
soldiers with guns, tanks and other wepons. As they get older they turn
to video gemes with very realistic war scenes taking place on the
screen. If you notice, most variety department and toy stores are well
stocked with aisle after aisle of toys that resemble weapons used in
war. These merchants promote and sell war to our children.
By the time our children enter high school, generally they are ready for and even considering serving in the armed forces. The school bus drivers are then emplolyed to deliver our children to the armed forces recruiting stations.
Our gray haired fathers were certainly right when they concluded that what we teach our children, they will surely do. Children do what they are taught, generation after generation.
As a result of the world's teaching, the world is at war. Thousands upon thousands of lives are destroyed and billions upon billions of tax dollars wasted. We are promised peace, yet we continue in the very same hopeless ideology of war and death.
World And Religious Leaders Argue That War Is Necessary
The world
leaders, who are led by
religious leaders, continue to tell the citizens of their countries
that
war is a necessary way of life. Is war truly necessary? Is it a way of
life, or should it be called a way of death and destruction? War
has never brought peace in the 6,000 years of mankind's history on
Earth. Why should we believe that at this time war will suddenly bring
peace? Every generation before us was taught that very same thing, yet
they never achieved peace.
There Is A Way To Peace But It Is Not Through War
I would like every preacher and politician in the world to realize that if we would learn the way to peace and start teaching it to the world, we could avoid the world wars that will take place in the next two years.
Mankind' s present teaching have brought us to a point where destruction by way of war is inevitable. The means of war, through advanced technology, has brought mankind to the point that civilization can no longer survive. At certain times the population of the world could withstand the loss of human life due to the vengeful actions of hate and lust. In the early history of the United States when white men took the rich land from the native Americans, thousands of men lost their lives. Yet, the population was not totally decimated.
During the American Revolutionary War, the British lost an estimated 6,778 soldiers. However, the cost of that war in terms of the loss of human life was considered affordable by the greatly populated British Empire.
The American Civil War between Chirstians of the North and Christians of the South was considered affordable by the political leaders. It was worth the loss, stated President Lincoln, to save the Union which he feared losing at that time.
World War I and II were also considered affordable, although approximately 9,180,283 American lives were lost in World War I and 15,883,614 in World war II were lost. The world's nations were on the verge of a population explosion and many leaders actually considered these wars beneficial for curbing the increase of the population. In these two wars alone, according to statistics, 25,063,897 American lives were lost.
