Blessings Come To A Nation That Keeps This Law

The cost of sin is staggering when viewed on the national scale. The nations today are ever searching for ways to achieve peace and unity with their people. Many nations lack this peace and unity because they do not have a set standard by which everyone can live. Yahweh's way is different. He gives His people one complete set of Laws that everyone can follow.

Exodus 12:49—
One Law shall be for the native-born and for the stranger who dwells among you.

Numbers 15:15-16—
15 One ordinance shall be for you of the congregation, and for the stranger who sojourns with you, as an ordinance forever throughout your generations. As you are, so shall the stranger be in front of Yahweh.
16 One Law and one manner shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.

Throughout history, many of man's laws have proven to be oppressive and it's almost impossible to remember them all. Yahweh's way of living is not like man's way. Yahweh does not oppress His people.

Iyyob 37:24—
Therefore, men reverence Him, for He shows no respect of persons to any who are wise in heart.

Many sins being committed within a nation are passed on from one generation to the next. Children observe the ways of their parents who in turn had observed the ways of their parents. Breaking Yahweh's Laws has become part of everyday living for the people of many nations. However, they do not even realize they are breaking Yahweh's Laws, because their spiritual and other leaders do not rebuke them; nor show them how they have sinned, and the correct way to go.

Teaching the Laws to the people, making them familiar with what the Laws actually say, begins the process of having that nation keep the Laws; thus reaping the benefits that come from keeping them. If the people of a nation were to begin keeping this one Law, it would introduce a new awareness of the rest of the Laws and how they apply to our lives.

As a result of this one practice, sin would begin to decline, and with it the curses that sin brings. As the people became more aware of the effect that sin is having in their lives, and how various Laws apply to various situations they face, they would start to conduct themselves in accordance with the Laws of peace. Curses in general would begin to diminish, and the benefits would begin to increase.

The cost of dealing with crime would begin to decline. Murders and thefts and a large number of other crimes would be reduced sharply. There would also be safer cities and streets. A police force would not be needed in such great numbers, because each citizen would police (correct) himself and those around him through his righteous example or by correcting the wrong he observes. To take it one step further, the need for prisons would be greatly reduced and the savings could be utilized for education.

When those who sin are corrected the inhabitants of a nation would learn several things. They would first learn what sin is—the breaking of Yahweh's Laws (I Yahchanan 3:4). Secondly, they would learn what Law had been broken. Lastly, they would realize the curses that have been brought upon their nation because this Law was not kept. A nation could totally rid itself of sin and its resulting curses if it would keep this simple Law. This nation would also find the peace and unity it longs for.

Psalm 19:7-11—
7 The Laws of Yahweh are perfect, converting the whole person. The testimony of Yahweh is sure, making the simple ones wise.
8 The statutes of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heart; mind. The commandments of Yahweh are pure, bringing understanding to the eyes.
9 The reverence of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of Yahweh are true and altogether righteous.
10 They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than even much fine gold. They are sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them are Your servants warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.
