Blessings Come To The Individual Who Keeps This Law
The 613 Laws of Yahweh teach us the difference between righteousness and evil. Once an individual is taught these Laws he is conscious of the difference between right and wrong. More times than not, if a person sees another person doing something wrong, but does not say anything to that person, it weighs heavily on his conscience. However, if a person would uphold this Law and make it known to the proper authorities, this eliminates the feelings of guilt the person doing the correcting might have had if he had not kept the Law. Only by keeping Yahweh's perfect Laws will one's conscience ever be free from guilt. It is a righteous ambition to have a guilt-free conscience, as the Apostle Shaul explains.
Acts
24:16—
Therefore, I always strive to have a conscience free of offense; faultless:
not led into sin, against Yahweh and men.
Knowing he did not allow sin to continue uncorrected will give that person peace of mind because he follows the Laws of Yahweh. Not only does he find peace of mind in keeping this Law, but he actually keeps himself from being a partaker in this same sin he witnessed. This is vital, because not only would the person sinning die from their iniquity and lack of repentance, but the individual who did not correct them would share in the responsibility for that death.
Leviticus
19:17—
You shall not hate your neighbor in your heart. Rebuke your brother or
your sister frankly, so you will not share in his or
her guilt.
This individual would also be free of the judgment that results from not warning those who sin. If he gives them the warnings that are due, but they continue in their sins, they will die for their sin, but he will not be accountable for it.
Yechetzqyah
3:19,21—
19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not
turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he will die in his
iniquity; but you will have delivered your own life.
21 Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man that
the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live
because he took warning; and you will have delivered your own life.
If an individual would keep this Law of correcting those who sin he would be confident in knowing that no one has died because of a Law he neglected to keep.
If an individual chooses to keep this Law of correcting those who sin, he would receive many blessings for it. He would also experience the benefits of being loved, honored and respected by those who are wise—those who truly desire to overcome sin.
Proverbs
28:23—
He who rebukes a man will find more honor
afterwards
than he who flatters with the tongue.
Proverbs
24:25—
But he who rebukes the wicked will be
a delight,
and a righteous blessing will be called upon him.
Accoriding to Scripture, one who rebukes frankly is actually a peacemaker. Therefore, those who keep this Law shall be called the sons of Yahweh, and what a benefit that will be!
Mattithyah
5:9—
Blessed are the peacemakers; for they
will be
called the sons of Yahweh.
Proverbs
10:10—
He who winks with his eye; a gesture among
accomplices in
malice and guilt, causes trouble, but one who rebukes
frankly makes peace.
