The definitions for righteousness and sin (evil) are given in your Bible.
Righteousness
is defined in:
Deuteronomy
6:25
And it will be our righteousness,
if we observe to do all of this Law before Yahweh
our Father, as He has commanded us.
Sin
(evil) is
defined in:
I
Yahchanan
3:4,7-8—
4 Whoever commits sin,
transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression
of the Law.
7 Little children, let no man
deceive you; he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is
righteous.
8 He who commits sin is of the
devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose
the Son of Yahweh was manifested; that He might destroy the works of
the devil.
It is scripturally incorrect to say that the Savior or any of His Apostles did away with these Laws of righteousness. Please notice the last revelation given to mankind by the Savior.
Revelation
22:12-16—
12 And behold, I come quickly,
and My reward is with Me, to give every man
according as his work will be.
13 I am the First and the Last,
the Beginning and the End.
14 Blessed are
those who keep His Laws, that they may have
right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the
city.
15 For outside are dogs,
and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods
(elohim) and everyone who professes to love, yet
practices breaking the Law.
16 I, Yahshua, have sent My malak
to testify
to you these things in the congregations of The House of Yahweh. I am
the root and the offspring of David, and the
Bright and Morning Star.
Mattithyah
5:17—
Do not even
think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets; I have not
come to destroy them, but to establish
them.
The King James Version uses the word fulfill instead of the word establish, so some lying preachers say that fulfill means to do away with. This is obviously a lie, otherwise the Savior would not have said, in the very last revelation, that the blessing of eternal life is only given to those who keep Yahweh's Laws.
Revelation
22:14—
Blessed are those
who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of
life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Abel was the first to be chosen as a righteous Priest. Abraham was also chosen because he kept Yahweh's Laws.
Genesis
26:5—
Because Abraham obeyed My voice,
and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Laws.
Melchizedek, a Priest of Yahweh and a King, was another who kept Yahweh's Laws.
Hebrews
7:1-2—
1 For this Melchizedek,
king of Salem, priest of Yahweh Most High, met
Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,
2 And Abraham also gave him a
tenth part of all. First, his name being
translated means, King of Righteous-ness,
and then also king of Salem, meaning, King of Peace.
The Savior is of the same order of righteousness and is now head of the holy priesthood which was in Yahweh's plan from the beginning.
Hebrews
7:3—
Melchizedek's
father and mother were not recorded in the genealogies, neither was the
beginning of his days, nor the end of his life—but he was a
representation of the Son of Yahweh, for the continuance of the
priesthood.
Hebrews 10:21—
And having a High Priest over The
House of Yahweh.
At this point, I must say that the priesthood is not just men. The priesthood is made up of men, women and children. The Savior, in speaking of children, said, of such is the Kingdom of Yahweh.
The pattern of the Kingdom of heaven given to Mosheh by Yahweh included men, women and children. No worker was ever turned away because of age. These people, except for Yahshua who was sinless, were all corrected for their sins. They were corrected by the righteous Laws of Yahweh, which guided them; therefore, they became sinless, righteous and perfect in all their ways.
These righteous Laws are likened to a mirror, which shows you your faults—your sins. A person who desires to be righteous will repent and confess his sins when shown his faults. Those who desire evil ways often rebuke or argue with those who try to correct them.
Every person is born with a lustful mind. Lusting is not wrong as long as we only desire lawful things. Yahweh's Laws are a guide to show mankind things that should not be lusted after. This involves a man lusting after another man's wife or anything else that belongs to that man. Uncontrolled, illegal lust leads to fornication, adultery, theft, murder, hatred and war. Instruction is given in Isayah to cry aloud in correction.
Isayah
58:1—
Cry aloud, spare not; lift up
your voice like
a trumpet, and show My people their transgressions, and the house of
Yaaqob their sins.
If a person is warned of the evil he is doing, he has an opportunity to turn from his sins and live. When a righteous person sees sin but does not warn the sinner, in essence, he condones the sin, or takes part—joins in partnership—with the sinner. This is clearly shown in the following scriptures.
Yechetzqyah
18:4-9,21-24—
4 Behold, all souls are Mine. Just
as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son
is Mine; the soul that sins, it will die.
5 But if a man is just, by doing
that which is Lawful and right__
6 If he has
not eaten upon the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the gods
(elohim) of the house of Israyl, nor has defiled his neighbor's wife,
nor has approached a menstruous woman;
7 And has not oppressed anyone,
but has restored to the debtor his pledge; has robbed none by violence,
but has given his food to the hungry, and
covered the naked with a garment;
8 He who has
not lent upon usury; with interest, nor collected
with increase, who has withdrawn his hands from
iniquity, has executed true judgment between man and man;
9 If he has
walked in My statutes, and has kept My judgments, to do them__he
is just! He will surely live! says Father
Yahweh.
21 But if the wicked
will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep
all My statutes, and do that which is Lawful and right, then he
will surely live; he will not die.
22 And his transgressions that he
has
committed will not be mentioned against him; in his righteousness that
he has done, he will live.
23 Do I have any pleasure at all
that the wicked should die? says Father Yahweh: No, but
rather that he would turn back from his wicked
ways, and live.
24 But when the righteous turns
away from his
righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the
abominations that the wicked man does__should
he live? All his righteousness that he has done will not be mentioned in
his behalf. In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in
his sin that he has sinned, in them he will die.
Yechetzqyah
33:4-8—
4 Then whoever hears the sound of
the trumpet,
but does not heed the warning, if the sword comes and takes him away,
his blood will be on his own head:
5 He heard the sound of the
trumpet but did
not heed the warning; his blood will be upon himself. But he who heeds
the warning will deliver his life.
6 However, if the watchman sees
the sword coming, but does not blow the trumpet; shofar, and
the people are not warned, if the sword comes and takes any person
from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at the watchman's hand.
7 So you, O son of man, have I
set as a watchman for the house of Israyl. Therefore, you will hear the
word; the Law and the Prophets, at My mouth, and
warn them from Me.
8 When I say to the wicked: O
wicked man, you will surely die! And if
you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked
man will die in his iniquity; but his
blood will I require at your hand.
